Election Thoughts

News-Record Editorial Writer Doug Clark touched on only one of the many lies, gossip and half truths that are flying everywhere during this election season. It is happening all over the US.

Where are the real reporters? Why aren't they asking questions and demanding answers to relevant issues instead of settling for evasive and ignorant answers? Trivia prevails.

I have been visiting in Georgia and the political garbage there is outrageous. Major candidates are accusing each other of terrible things. This is especially true in the race for Governor of Georgia. I am glad that I don't have to vote in the Georgia Gov. election. I can't find an honest candidate.   The innuendo, gossip, lies, and half-truths during the primary election were outrageous and the only candidate that I would have even considered voting for appeared to be an honest Republican, which is rare these days.
She was edged out by the voters who obviously believed the lies and half-truths of her opponent.
And, don't think that I believe there are many honest Democrats, either. They are almost as rare as hen's teeth, also.
